This Patches Generator is a high-quality, 100% procedurally generated texture created using Substance Designer to be versatile and precise. Each texture comes pre-exported in 4K resolution across six keymaps: Base Color, Height, Normal, Opacity, Roughness, and Ambient Occlusion (AO). The textures also make ideal building blocks for detailed and realistic surface materials.

As a material designed to speed up the workflow of 3D artists in general and character designers in particular, this material can quickly generate a wide variety of surface patches, from skin details to clothing to organic and inorganic to an extent. This is a procedural material with a lot of tweakability and adaptability to whatever you may want to do artistically.

Patches Generator Details:

Each texture map has been crafted using various procedural generators within Substance Designer:

• AO Map: With curvature, ambient occlusion nodes provide a realistic feeling of depth and shadows.
• Base Color Map: A composite of the color blending and noise generators to ensure we have a unique but consistent surface tone.
• Height Map: Height noise and fractal-based generators allow you to fine-tune the surface elevations and displacements generated.
• Normal Map: Designed using height and detail generators, creating neat surfaces and better realism.
• Opacity Map: Defined procedurally to generate surface transparency variations, useful for various complex materials such as fabrics or thin layers.
• Roughness Map: Generated with roughness noise generators, allowing for realistic material reflection properties on matte to glossy surfaces.
